FAQs

Questions about fragrance? Find answers about choosing, wearing and caring for your scent.

Why do perfumes smell different on different people?

Skin, body temperature and the other products you wear can influence how a fragrance develops. Try it on your own skin and let it settle before deciding how it smells on you.

What are the different perfume oil concentrations?

Parfum or extrait is generally the most concentrated category, followed by Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette and Eau de Cologne. Exact percentages vary between brands and formulas, so the name alone does not guarantee a particular strength or number of hours of wear. Check the listed product’s description for its concentration.

Should I change my perfume according to the season?

You can wear any scent you enjoy throughout the year. If you like a seasonal change, try lighter citrus, fresh or floral notes in warm weather, and richer woody, amber or spicy notes in cooler weather. Let your own preference guide you.

How do you differentiate between feminine and masculine scents?

These labels are a way of describing and presenting a fragrance, rather than rules about who can wear it. Explore the notes you enjoy, whether floral, fresh, woody, sweet or spicy, and choose what feels right for you.

Where should I spray my perfume?

For a perfume intended for skin, apply lightly to pulse points such as the wrists or neck, following the instructions on the bottle. Let it dry naturally rather than rubbing your wrists together. Keep fragrance away from your eyes and avoid spraying directly onto delicate fabrics.

My perfume doesn’t last long on me. What should I do?

Apply it to clean skin, let it dry without rubbing, and consider using an unscented moisturiser first. Performance varies with the formula, weather and your skin; there is no single wear time that applies to every fragrance.

Why are home fragrances different from perfumes?

Home fragrances are made for spaces, while personal perfumes are made for the uses specified on their labels. Their formulas and application methods can be different, so use each product only for its intended purpose.

How should I store my perfumes?

Keep the bottle closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. A cupboard or the original box can help protect it from light. Avoid leaving it in a hot car or a bathroom with frequent heat and humidity changes.

People don’t like the scent I’m wearing. What should I do?

Fragrance is personal, and preferences differ. In shared spaces, try using a smaller amount or choosing a softer scent. You can still enjoy the fragrances you love while being considerate of the people around you.

Are the perfumes shown on your website in stock?

Displayed products are available to order from the selected warehouse unless they are marked Sold out. Sold-out products remain visible for browsing and favorites, but cannot be added to your inquiry list or ordered. The USA and Germany warehouses have different selections.

ROLL-ONS: How long does the scent last?

For roll-on perfume, wear time depends on the individual formula, the amount applied and your skin. There is no guaranteed duration for every roll-on. For a roll-on displayed in the collection, refer to its product description and application instructions.

ROLL-ONS: Do they leave white marks on clothes?

This depends on the formula and the fabric. Do not assume a roll-on is stain-free: follow its label, let it dry before dressing and avoid applying it directly to clothing unless the manufacturer allows it.

ROLL-ONS: Will they leave residue on the underarms?

Check the label carefully: a perfume roll-on and a deodorant roll-on are different products. Use a product only on the areas specified by its manufacturer. Residue depends on the formula; follow the instructions on the specific product.

Can I order a perfume that isn’t listed on the website?

No. You can only order products displayed in your selected warehouse collection that are not marked Sold out. Unlisted and sold-out products cannot be ordered. Please choose an available fragrance from that warehouse’s collection.
